Five generations. More than one century at Stained Glass Art service.


First, Frederic Duchemin glass painted in many workshops during the 19th century; then, Georges and Raymond Duchemin, journeymen in Gruber studio, took part of the creation of "Art Nouveau" and "Art Deco" stained glass style. At last, Claude Duchemin (qualified from Ecole des Metiersd'Art), young journeyman in Bony studio assisted painter Georges Rouault to elaborate the stained glasses of the church of Plateau d`Assy.

In order to deepen his knowledge about glass, Claude Duchemin turns to thermal compression moulding. Then he decides with his father Raymond, to create their own studio.

Les Ateliers Duchemin will be created in the mid fifties.

Dominique Duchemin, Claude's daughter, has a degree from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré and the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris, (she met Gilles Rousval in ENSBA). She ran managed the family studio since 1986.
